Mrs Tracey Stewart
Mrs Tracy Steward began working for the NHS in 1994 as a Joint Planning Co-ordinator for South Lancashire Health Authority, becoming Service Development Manager in 1998. Both roles included the development of public and patient involvement in NHS decision making processes.
During 1998, Mrs Steward moved to Salford Community Health Council (CHC) as Acting Chief Officer and then on to Preston CHC as Chief Officer. The roles focused on ensuring that patient and public views were represented, and taken account of, by Local NHS Trusts and Health Authorities. The role included a Board position with the North West Lancashire Health Authority and a statutory duty to be informed of and consulted on all significant changes to health provision in the geographic area.
In 2001, Mrs Steward moved to St Helens as Locality Manager for the Newton and Haydock Primary Care Group; she then became Primary Care Development Manager for St Helens and then Halton and St Helens Primary Care Trusts. The roles involved working closely with, supporting and monitoring primary care contractor services especially general practices.
Since 2007, Mrs Steward has been the Practice Manager for the Rainbow Medical Centre, a role which incorporates both the operational and business aspects of General Practice.
